The Donald Trump "Hush Money" Trial

The Donald Trump hush money trial involves 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. The charges assert that Trump mislabelled repayments to his lawyer, Michael Cohen, who paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels to keep her silent about an alleged sexual encounter before the 2016 election. Key testimony includes Cohen detailing his role in the payments and David Pecker, former publisher of the National Enquirer, discussing a “catch and kill” scheme to suppress negative stories about Trump. The trial also explores whether a former president can claim immunity from prosecution for actions during their tenure.

It’s absolutely clear that this case is fabricated to trap Trump into felony charges—nobody else would have been charged this way. I can only hope the jury will acquit him.

This is so cringe-worthy, you wouldn’t believe it’s true, but they always said, “No, no, no, it’s not political.” Then they really dragged out Robert De Niro—the actor, yes, no joke—to give a Trump rant for the Biden-Harris campaign in front of the courthouse. Batshit crazy!
