Sudan

Situated in Northeast Africa, Sudan, officially the Republic of Sudan, is a country with a rich history and diverse landscapes. Bordering Egypt to the north and South Sudan to the south, Sudan encompasses vast deserts, fertile plains along the Nile River, and the rugged Ethiopian Highlands in the southeast. This geographic variety is matched by its cultural heritage, with numerous ethnic groups contributing to a vibrant tapestry of traditions, languages, and artistic expressions. Sudan is known for its ancient pyramids, particularly the Meroë sites, which stand as testaments to its long history. Khartoum, the capital city, is a bustling center located at the confluence of the White and Blue Nile rivers. Unfortunately, Sudan has faced recent challenges, including a civil war that has displaced millions of people. Despite these difficulties, the Sudanese people are known for their resilience and hospitality.
