Mohammed bin Salman, often referred to by his initials MBS, is the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, serving as the country’s deputy prime minister and minister of defense. Born on August 31, 1985, he is the son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Since rising to prominence, Mohammed bin Salman has been a transformative figure in Saudi politics and economics, known for initiating major social and economic reforms under the Vision 2030 program, which aims to diversify the Saudi economy away from oil dependency and develop public service sectors. His tenure has also been marked by controversy, including allegations of human rights abuses and his alleged involvement in the assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
