Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn is an American former alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist widely regarded as one of the greatest female skiers in history. Born on October 18, 1984, in St. Paul, Minnesota, she began skiing at a young age and quickly rose to prominence. Vonn made her Olympic debut in 2002 and went on to win the gold medal in the downhill event at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, along with a bronze in the Super-G.

Her illustrious career includes four World Cup overall championships, 82 World Cup race victories, and multiple world championship medals. Despite a series of injuries, her resilience and determination cemented her legacy in the sport. She retired from competitive skiing in 2019 and has since focused on business ventures, writing, and philanthropy through the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, which aims to empower young girls through sports and education.
