Lawrence Taylor, born February 4, 1959, in Williamsburg, Virginia, is a former NFL linebacker widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive players in football history. Drafted second overall by the New York Giants in 1981, Taylor revolutionized the position with his ferocious playing style, earning two Super Bowl titles and three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards during his illustrious career. Known as “L.T.,” he recorded 10 Pro Bowl selections and was named league MVP in 1986.
