Cyril Ramaphosa is a prominent South African politician and businessman, serving as the President of South Africa since February 2018. Born on November 17, 1952, in Soweto, Johannesburg, Ramaphosa was an influential anti-apartheid activist and one of the key negotiators helping to end apartheid and transition to democratic governance. Prior to his presidency, he was a successful businessman and also served as the Deputy President of South Africa under Jacob Zuma from 2014 to 2018. As president, Ramaphosa has focused on combating corruption, reviving South Africa’s economy, and addressing social and economic disparities. His leadership is marked by efforts to foster inclusivity and promote development within the country.
