The Public's Verdict

Cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrency is a type of digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Unlike traditional currencies issued by governments (fiat currencies), cryptocurrencies operate on decentralized networks based on blockchain technology. A blockchain is a distributed ledger that records all transactions made with a particular cryptocurrency in a secure and transparent manner. The most well-known cryptocurrency is Bitcoin, which was introduced in 2009. Since then, thousands of alternative cryptocurrencies have been developed, each with unique features and mechanisms. Cryptocurrencies are typically used for online transactions and are heralded by some as the future of money, though they also present challenges in terms of regulation and acceptance by traditional financial institutions.

The most important invention for finance ever! Finally, a solution to hold your own assets without needing any third party. Personally, I’ve been in crypto since 2012, and it has served me well for many years. Sending uncomplicated payments, securing assets from inflation, and trading easily—all with a very high layer of privacy.
