Azzedine Alaïa (1935-2017) was a Tunisian-born fashion designer renowned for his sculptural and form-fitting designs that celebrated the female form. Alaïa launched his eponymous label in the 1980s, quickly becoming known as the “King of Cling” for his body-conscious dresses. His timeless creations were beloved by celebrities and fashion enthusiasts alike. Despite shunning traditional fashion calendars, his legacy endures through the Maison Alaïa.
