Austria, officially the Republic of Austria, is a landlocked nation nestled in Central Europe. Bordered by Germany to the north, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the northeast, Hungary to the east, Slovenia and Italy to the south, and Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west, Austria boasts a stunning landscape of towering Alps, rolling hills, and picturesque valleys.
Over 9 million people call Austria home, with a rich cultural heritage influenced by various empires and artistic movements. Vienna, the capital city, is a renowned center for music, art, and architecture, boasting iconic landmarks like Schönbrunn Palace and the Vienna State Opera. The country’s long history stretches back centuries, marked by the rise and fall of the powerful Habsburg dynasty that ruled much of Europe.
Today, Austria is a parliamentary republic known for its high standards of living, strong social welfare programs, and vibrant cultural scene. Beyond Vienna, the country offers a wealth of experiences, from skiing in the majestic Alps to exploring the charming towns and villages scattered throughout the countryside.

Beautiful picture! Sadly, have not been at this exact place – but Austria itself is the far better choice over Switzerland which has a similar landscape but is crazy expensive and unfriendly!
Correct! Actually Switzerland is a horrible country!
With Vienna being a very cool city, it’s a must-visit when in Europe
