Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian fashion designer and one of the original members of the Antwerp Six, a group of influential designers who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the 1980s. She launched her eponymous label in 1985, gaining acclaim for her dark, poetic, and androgynous aesthetic. Her designs often feature layered silhouettes, monochromatic palettes, and innovative tailoring. Demeulemeester’s work blends romance and rebellion, making her a key figure in avant-garde fashion. Although she left the brand in 2013, it continues to uphold her distinctive vision under Creative Director Ludovic de Saint Sernin.
