Jeff Daniels is an American actor, musician, and playwright, born on February 19, 1955, in Athens, Georgia, but raised in Chelsea, Michigan. He has enjoyed a versatile career spanning film, stage, and television, marked by a wide range of roles across drama and comedy. Daniels is perhaps best known for his starring roles in films such as “Dumb and Dumber,” “The Squid and the Whale,” and “The Purple Rose of Cairo,” as well as his portrayal of Will McAvoy in the HBO television series “The Newsroom,” for which he won an Emmy Award. In addition to acting, Jeff Daniels founded the Purple Rose Theatre Company in Michigan, contributing significantly to the arts in his home state. Not a fan
There were some decent performances, but mostly in older movies. “Dumb and Dumber” is impossible to watch; it’s terrible in every aspect, from the story to the acting.
