Côte d’Ivoire, also known as Ivory Coast, is a country located on the west coast of Africa. It is bordered by Liberia and Guinea to the west, Mali and Burkina Faso to the north, Ghana to the east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. The political capital is Yamoussoukro, although the economic capital and largest city is Abidjan, known for its modernity and vibrant cultural scene.

Côte d’Ivoire is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of coffee, cocoa beans, and palm oil, which play a central role in its economy and are pivotal for the global chocolate industry. The country has experienced rapid economic growth and significant urbanization but continues to face challenges such as political instability and social disparities.

The cultural life of Côte d’Ivoire is diverse, with more than 60 ethnic groups contributing to a rich tapestry of traditions, languages, and religions. This diversity is reflected in its various music genres, dance styles, and festivals, which are integral parts of Ivorian life. Despite its challenges, Côte d’Ivoire remains a key player in West Africa, known for its significant agricultural contributions and cultural vibrancy.
